Coffee Time!

I'm blogging early tonight because it's the night before a workshop. Every night before a workshop my honey and I watch a movie and I cut all the paper packs for the class.

So here's tonight's entry. This is a variation of the double pocket card in the previous post. I just decided not to use the bottom pocket so I closed it up. The paper for this card is Simple Pleasures...still one of my favorites. The stamp set is called "Coffee Shop". I stamped the word "coffee" and the cup, saucer and steam in cocoa. I used a second generation color of Twilight to fill in the coffee cup. It seemed a little too light (but full strength was too dark) so I chalked some highlights with our Autumn set of chalks. I was also then able to color the coffee in the cup with chalk as well. The image is stamped on Bamboo cardstock, cut out and you guessed it...I used foam squares to pop it up. I just really like that effect. The ribbon across the middle is from the Twilight ribbon round collection. The brads were left over from a promotional that Close To My Heart did.

I think that about covers it. Oh yeah, that's a real gift card from Starbucks. I work at the High School here in town and the staff that wants to participate does a secret pal swap. I hope my pal likes this!

You are Close To My Heart,
Yvonne
